Chart Preparation in Railway PNR
Chart preparation is the stage when the passenger reservation chart is prepared for a train. It is one of the most important moments for PNR status.
Why chart preparation matters
Before chart preparation, booking positions can change because of cancellations and quota updates. After chart preparation, the final seating and berth picture is clearer.
For CNF passengers, coach and berth details are often confirmed around this stage. For RAC and waiting list passengers, charting can show the final movement.
Status before and after charting
